What I did and Learned
My two partners and I worked together to build a wooden truss to test and see how much force it could hold. Our truss was a bit simple, only containing 5 members and put together using super glue. We tested it with a machine capable of acting force upon our truss and we were able to obtain the maximum force that our truss was able to hold: 16 pounds. This was not a whole lot as the highest was 70 pounds. I learned from this, that whether complex or simple, the truss must be equal and balanced in order to hold itself up to any kind of force.
